Helping SMEs Identify Vulnerabilities Before They Become Incidents
Independent advisory services specialising in operational resilience, converged security, post-incident investigation, Martyn's Law preparedness, training, assessment and internal quality assurance.
Every Organisation Has Vulnerabilities
Some vulnerabilities are obvious.
Others remain hidden until an incident exposes them.
A security breach, insider threat, safeguarding concern, cyber-enabled attack, fraud, reputational issue or operational failure rarely occurs because of a single weakness. More often, incidents develop because multiple vulnerabilities exist across people, premises, procedures, technology and governance.
Many organisations invest heavily in visible security measures whilst remaining exposed to weaknesses in processes, staff awareness, resilience planning, information handling, supplier management or operational decision-making.
These vulnerabilities may remain unnoticed for years.
Until something goes wrong.
King's Tree Security Consultancy helps organisations identify those vulnerabilities before they become incidents.
Independent Advice Grounded In Real Operational Experience
King's Tree Security Consultancy was founded by Neil Fox CertPSA4, a retired UK Detective with 28 years of policing experience.
Throughout his career, Neil managed and coordinated complex investigations, intelligence-led operations, safeguarding enquiries, investigative reviews and multi-agency activity. He also performed periods of duty as an Acting Detective Sergeant, supervising investigative teams and managing complex investigative activity.
In the latter stages of his policing career, Neil became responsible for the development of trainee detectives and civilian investigators, mentoring, tutoring, assessing and quality assuring a continual rolling cohort of approximately thirty learners.
Alongside his investigative background, Neil qualified as a Protective Security Adviser, achieving the SFJ Awards Level 4 Certificate for Protective Security Advisers (CertPSA4), an Ofqual-recognised Higher Technical Qualification aligned to modern protective security practice.
This combination of investigative expertise and protective security knowledge provides a unique perspective on risk, vulnerability and resilience.
About Neil Fox
What Is Converged Security?
Traditional security often focuses on individual measures such as locks, alarms, CCTV systems or access control.
Whilst these remain important, modern threats rarely affect only one area of an organisation.
A cyber attack may begin with a member of staff.
A fraud investigation may reveal governance weaknesses.
An insider threat may expose failures in recruitment, supervision and access control.
A security breach may occur because several seemingly unrelated vulnerabilities existed simultaneously.
Converged security recognises that physical security, personnel security, technical security, cyber resilience and organisational governance are interconnected.
King's Tree Security Consultancy uses this approach to help organisations develop a broader understanding of risk and resilience.
